We are not trying to put the conspiracy theory into play here, but you really don’t know what the person next to you is breathing into your space.  Hey, let’s be honest here, not everyone around you is leading a healthy lifestyle and you sure don’t know what germs they are bringing in from their home.  If you get a personal air purifier you are ensuring yourself that at the very least, you are giving yourself a better chance of fighting off any micro-organisms that can cause you a health issue.

It is not uncommon for people to be worried about the air that they are breathing.  It is bad enough that the natural environment is out to get us, let alone the guy in the next cubicle that doesn’t know how to cover his mouth when he starts coughing up a lung after one of his many cigarette breaks throughout the day.

Not only does he come back up for his quick run outside coughing, but he also stinks of cigarettes.  It is your right to breathe clean air and you shouldn’t have to deal with it.  The one way that you can fight this battle is by getting your own personal air cleaner.

For some, this may sound like the final cure to the problem.  They are not very expensive and while they will not do the job of a whole home air purifier, they will keep your little area free of any harmful germs and other pollutants that you would otherwise be breathing in.

There are several varieties that you can choose from. There are models that will merely sit on your desk and then there are those that are even more portable and that you can wear around your neck.  Some people actually like to have both so that their desk space is always clean and then they have something to protect them when they are on the move as well.

Most of these personal air cleaners are very affordable and for the money, usually less than $50, you can afford to have both of them and keep all of your breathing germ free.  Now if you are slightly concerned about the appearance of the purifier and that you don’t want it to stick out like a sore thumb, you can rest assured that there are plenty of designs available that will blend in as a knick knack or some other piece of desk artwork.

You never know, there are those out there that will see that you are making steps to clean up your air and will then go overboard in an effort to make sure that they offend you.  Oddly enough, this is the same person that says that they could not possibly be the reason that you bought one in the first place. They then think their little coughing first over the top of the cubicle are amusing when indeed they are the reason that you had to take these measure of cleaning up your air.
